Children can save lives too…

More than 150 children vigorously attended the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Roadshow at the Baguio Athletic Bowl. The attendance has overshoot the original target of 100 children. The aim of the activity is to educate, enhance the knowledge and awareness of the children in disaster management, and increase their self-confidence and survival skills during emergencies and disasters.

The first 100 registrants were given their “Go Bags” containing of a flashlight, whistle, and basic first aid kit.

Participants took part on the task of performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and learnt different items used in an ambulance during emergency, facilitated by BCEMS and BB-PICAG.

In addition to having an opportunity to explore the fire engine of the Baguio City Fire Station, participants embarked on the rappelling challenge.
