The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) chaired by Mayor Benjamin Magalong thru the CDRRM Office under Antonette Anaban conducted an Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Course, Sept. 15, aimed at developing a better appreciation and understanding of ICS at the management level.
The one-day crash course highlighted the core principles, features and functions of ICS which is one of the Office of Civil Defense's (OCD) flagship programs that is a standard, on-scene, all-hazard incident management concept that can be used by all response groups.
It also allows users to adopt an integrated organizational structure for response whose benefits include meeting the needs of any kind or size of incident; allows rapid melding of different personnel; provides accountability, logistics and administrative support; and is cost-effective.

The Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Training is now on its third and last day with a total of 57 selected LGU employees. Today’s session began with a recap from Day 2 and will end with a post-exam and overall training Evaluation.
The topics today are Module 7: Incident and Event Planning and Formulation of Incident Action Plan and Preparation for Operational Briefing to be discussed by Sir Mike Kenneth A. Piluden, Return Demonstration - Operational Period Briefing by Ms. Vanessa Sito, and Module 8: Transfer of Command, Demobilization and Close Out by Sir Noel S. Gamboa.

The Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Training is now on its second day held at the El Cielito Hotel, Baguio City. The Basic Incident Command System Training is meant for the acquisition of knowledge and skills of City Hall Employees. Today’s session, April 21, 2022, would begin with a recap of the previous day’s training, preceded by the following modules:
Module 3: ICS Facilities by Mr. Noel S. Gamboa
Module 4: Organising ICS and Managing Incidents and Events by Mr. Mike Kenneth A. Piluden
Module 5: Incident/Event Assessment and Management by Objectives by Ms. Vanessa Sito
Module 6: Organising and Managing Resources by Mr. Noel S. Gamboa
The second-day training will also conclude with an evaluation that would enable the event organizer, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), to improve upon these relevant training sessions.

City Hall Employees have now started the three-day Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Training at El Cielito Hotel, Baguio City. The first day of training, this April 20, will be conducted by Mr. Louie Glenn G. Lardizabal, Mr. Mike Kenneth Piluden, and Ms. Vanessa Sito.
The first day includes two (2) modules, with an introduction to ICS and ICS Organization and Staffing, and an evaluation after. Organized by the CDRRMO Baguio, this training has 50 beneficiaries, for two (2) batches.
This ICS training program is in lieu of RA 10121 and is one of the flagship programs of the OCD, by virtue of various NDRRMC issuances. Proven effective in managing potential and actual disaster consequences, this basic level of training will equip Baguio City Hall Employees with basic knowledge and skills in the Incident Management.
