The National Service Training Program (NSTP) UP Baguio organized training sessions on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Awareness. Led by experts from the Baguio C.D.R.R.M.C.-Disaster Operations Center (Official), NSTP students learned essential skills like Basic Life Support (CPR), Bandaging, Patient Casualty Handling and Use of Stretchers, and Basic Knot Tying.

Mayor Magalong headed a clearing operation together with the city government offices and other volunteers. The collaboration included CDRRMO, BCPO, POSD, the Philippine Navy, SK Federation and LYDO, CEPMO, GSO, CBAO PICE, CMO, PIO, Media, Maharlika Livelihood Complex staff, and BDVMU. The joint efforts resulted in a thorough cleanup and a successful operation.

It's heartwarming to see individuals like him going above and beyond their duties to assist those in need, especially during busy events like these.

A total of 45 employees from various offices partook in the first batch of this capacity-building activity which aims to enhance the emergency preparedness of employees, particularly in responding to workplace emergencies.

Public schools in the City of Baguio will conduct its Midyear Program Review and Evaluation and In-service Training. One identified program of said activity is the conduct of Basic Life Support Orientation for teachers and non-teaching personnel of their school. The training recognized the critical importance of strengthening the capacity for emergency preparedness. With this, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office partakes in this capacity-building activity and is an opportunity to enhance DRRM education in educational institutions within the city.
